The American choreographer John Neumeier has been the director of the Hamburg Ballet for almost 50 years. One of his latest creations, Beethoven Project, filmed at the Baden Baden Festival in 2019, is inspired by the composer's work to create, according to Neumeier, "a great choreographic poem".
